Private Injection Clinics provide cutting edge treatments for those suffering with pain, inflammation and a loss of function. Specialised clinicians perform ultrasound guided injections at our clinics in Colchester and Leigh-on-Sea.
Many people who are suffering with conditions such as osteoarthritis, back pain, knee arthritis and frozen shoulder feel their best days are behind them. We offer safe and effective pain relief that allows you to move freely again, without surgery, and get back to doing what you love.
What Is an Ultrasound Guided Injection?
An Ultrasound Guided Injection is a specialised treatment used on a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Ultrasound machines allow us to view the structure of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints in real time to deliver injections safely and accurately into the target area.
Ultrasound technology lets our fully qualified clinicians perform minimally invasive procedures and injections with more accuracy and effectiveness.
Treatments using Ultrasound Guided Injections
We offer the following ultrasound-guided injections:
Corticosteroid Injections. Cortisone injections, also known as steroid injections, are the most common treatments performed at our Ultrasound-Guided Injection Clinics. They can help relieve pain and reduce inflammation in specific areas of the body.
Cortisone injections are typically injected into joints such as the ankle, elbow, hip, knee, shoulder or spine – providing pain relief and restoring joint function.
Arthrosamid Injections. Arthrosamid is an injection therapy designed to alleviate the symptoms associated with osteoarthritis, a condition characterised by the progressive deterioration of joint cartilage. This unique substance offers relief for patients suffering from anything from mild to severe stage (including bone on bone) knee arthritis, where symptoms like pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility are prominent.
Hyaluronic Acid Injections. Hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in joint synovial fluid, serving to lubricate, cushion, and absorb shocks within the joint. We use an extensively cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) solution, Durolane, to provide a safe and efficient treatment avenue for individuals grappling with osteoarthritis-induced pain and mobility issues.
Prolozone Injections. A mixture of ozone gas and nutrients are injected into the affected area and together these therapies promote healing and tissue regeneration in the bursa and surrounding structures, providing relief from pain and improving mobility.
All Injections Include
Free same day consultation involving a case history and physical examination
- Ultrasound scan (if required)
- Comprehensive diagnosis explanation
- Injection Procedure
- Appropriate rehab exercises explained
- Follow up appointment to assess success of treatment.
All injections are performed by clinicians with over 15 years experience, dual qualified with masters level postgraduate diplomas (PGDip) in diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections.
